This Privacy Policy explains how Giridhar Chettiar ("I", "me", "my") handles personal information collected through giridhar-chettiar-sde-portfolio.com (the "Site"). The Site is a personal portfolio operated from Adelaide, South Australia.

1. Information collected

The Site collects the following information:

  • Contact form submissions. When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, and message are stored in a Supabase-hosted database so I can read and respond.
  • Anonymous analytics. The Site uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which collect anonymous, aggregated page-view and performance data. No cookies or personally identifying device fingerprints are stored.
  • Server logs. Standard request logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamp) are retained briefly by the hosting provider (Vercel) for security and abuse prevention.

2. How the information is used

  • To read and reply to your contact-form message.
  • To understand which pages are visited so I can improve the Site.
  • To detect and prevent abuse of the Site.

I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Contact-form submissions are retained for as long as is reasonably necessary to maintain our correspondence, and deleted on request.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information held about you by emailing giri.chettiar@gmail.com. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Australia, you have rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and the Australian Privacy Principles respectively, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

The Site does not set tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights operate without cookies. Your browser may store standard session storage used by Next.js for routing.

7. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect data from children.

This policy may change from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
